Tattoo People 10th Anniversary Celebration

On May 18th, Tattoo People celebrated its 10th anniversary. Jaclyn and Khan, originally from Seoul, Korea, opened Tattoo People in Toronto in 2014. To mark this milestone, around 150 people gathered to enjoy the festivities, which included Korean street food, drinks, DJs, an exciting K-pop dance performance, a vintage market, and an art showcase. Wondermak was pleased to participate as a vendor, offering the traditional Korean drink, makgeolli, to all attendees.

Celebrating Asian Heritage Month with Aird & Berlis

In celebration of Asian Heritage Month in Toronto, Wondermak visited the Aird & Berlis office on May 22nd and 29th to participate in Korean-themed events. On May 22nd, around 100 attorneys from various law firms gathered to enjoy Korean-style street food and makgeolli, fostering a lively networking environment. The event on the 29th was more intimate, focusing on the Aird & Berlis team. Wondermak was delighted to provide a variety of makgeolli flavours among which the blueberry makgeolli was chosen as everyone’s favourite.

Asian Heritage Month Celebration at Weirfoulds

On May 28th, Wondermak visited the Weirfoulds office in celebration of Asian Heritage Month. We had the privilege of giving a speech about makgeolli, sharing its long history and cultural significance with 40 Weirfoulds lawyers. Attendees enjoyed Korean-style pancakes (jeon) and other traditional Korean foods such as japchae and nokdu-jeon, perfectly paired with Wondermak’s makgeolli. The event’s success led to a group order the following week, thanks to the enthusiastic response from everyone who enjoyed our makgeolli.

KCBA Annual General Meeting

On June 17th, Wondermak participated in the Annual General Meeting of the Korean Canadian Business Association (KCBA). We had the opportunity to network with numerous business owners across Canada. We are excited to announce that Wondermak is participating in the 2024 Toronto Korean Festival. Our booth will feature a Korean tavern-style setup in collaboration with Moon Spirits for Soju, Moose Imports for beer, and Toma Tono for food. We are thrilled to be part of the largest Korean event in Ontario and look forward to partnering with these amazing companies.
