On November 6, 2024, the Wondermak team and Moon Spirits’ founder, Alex, had the privilege of meeting with Jay Joo, Business Project Lead at KOTRA, and other members of their dedicated staff. This meeting served as a meaningful continuation of our journey following our participation in the KFOOD Expo 2024 in Daegu, Korea.
Being selected as buyers for the event was an incredible milestone for both Wondermak and Moon Spirits. The recognition underscored our commitment to bringing authentic Korean flavors to the forefront of the global market. The event in Daegu offered us the unique opportunity to connect with innovative partners and explore the vast potential of Korean cuisine and beverages.
Our recent meeting with KOTRA was focused on strengthening our collaboration as we move forward in Toronto. Discussions ranged from introducing new Korean products to the Canadian market to strategizing for next year’s expo and beyond. It was an inspiring conversation about shared goals and the bright future ahead for Korean-inspired brands on the global stage.

From November 25 to December 8, we had the pleasure of offering two exciting products to our customers: Wondermak Gift Sets and our brand-new Makgeolli Spreads.
Wondermak Gift Sets
The gift sets featured a curated selection of three bottles of Wondermak’s signature makgeolli, packaged beautifully in elegant glass bottles, perfect for holiday gifting. Customers could choose from our five unique flavors to create a personalized and memorable present for friends and family.
Introducing Makgeolli Spreads
For the first time, we launched our much-anticipated Makgeolli Spreads, which came in three delicious varieties: Original, Basil, and Blueberry. These spreads had previously debuted as limited, non-commercial samples at our events, where they received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Based on that excitement, we decided to bring them to market—and the response has been phenomenal!
The success of this launch has reinforced our vision of expanding the availability of our spreads. Our goal is to bring them to larger supermarkets and grocery stores, making them more accessible for everyone to enjoy.

On December 13th, we had the pleasure of co-hosting a memorable Rotation Dating Event alongside Michelle and Sienna from The Way Company. The event took place at Typist Studios & Coffee, where 40 individuals in their 20s and 30s gathered for a night of connection, conversation, and fun.
A Unique Dating Experience
The format allowed each participant to meet and chat with every other attendee through a rotation system. After engaging in brief conversations, guests had the opportunity for more in-depth discussions during the open mingling session. Before the event concluded, attendees selected up to four people they wished to get to know better. If there was mutual interest, contact information was shared, fostering potential new connections.

Whether guests arrived solo or with friends, the evening was filled with laughter, great conversations, and the excitement of meeting new people.
